I lived in California, Nebraska, then I moved to Seattle in 1997, and since then, I’ve split my time between Seattle and Alaska, working in the fishing industry. My career journey has taken me from working on a large processing boat for four years to spending 24 years in a processing plant in King Cove, Alaska, where I’ve held various roles—including Payroll, Office Manager, Accounting, and IT. This experience has not only honed my technical skills, but it’s also allowed me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping people in meaningful ways. Whether managing payroll, overseeing office operations, or providing IT support, I’ve always been passionate about making a positive impact on the people around me. My role has often involved solving problems, streamlining processes, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly—allowing others to focus on what they do best.
Outside of work, I’m deeply committed to giving back to my community. I’ve spent over 11 years volunteering with the Free Tax Campaign through United Way, helping individuals and families with their taxes. Helping others is not just part of my job—it’s my passion.
